The challenge
Yuan is an Egyptian company and manufacturer supplying fabrics and materials for clothing production. With more than 20 years in the market and an established import business with China, its store needed to support the way its customers actually buy.
The requirements went beyond presenting a product catalogue. Unit prices needed to change with the quantity ordered. Customers needed material specifications to make informed choices, and wholesale enquiries needed a way to carry several products, their variants and quantities into a WhatsApp conversation.
The implementation also needed to work in Arabic and English, bringing these requirements into one Shopify storefront.
The approach
A storefront implemented around the supplied design
I implemented the Shopify store from scratch using Liquid and JavaScript, working from UI/UX produced separately. The build brought together the catalogue, custom product information and buying interactions across Arabic and English.

Quantity pricing as a dedicated application
I developed Quantity Engine for Rekaz Digital using Laravel and PHP. It addresses a central wholesale requirement: the unit price changes as the order quantity changes.
The published application supports quantity tiers for products and variants, a simulator for previewing rules, and automatic discounts at checkout. It is available to other Shopify merchants through the Shopify App Store.

Material specifications customers can use
I implemented custom fields for material specifications, so product information could reflect the details buyers need when choosing manufacturing supplies.
A custom WhatsApp wholesale flow
I built a dedicated ordering popup for Yuan. Customers can select several products, choose variants, enter quantities and provide their contact details. The flow prepares the wholesale request for WhatsApp, carrying the selections into the conversation.
This gives the storefront a buying path suited to customers who need to discuss their wholesale order directly with the company.

My contribution
I delivered the store's technical implementation and the custom application as part of my work for Rekaz Digital.
My scope included:
- Shopify storefront implementation with Liquid and JavaScript.
- Arabic and English storefront implementation.
- Custom fields for material specifications.
- The purpose-built, multi-product WhatsApp wholesale ordering popup.
- Development of Quantity Engine with Laravel and PHP, and its publication on the Shopify App Store.
- Launch and handover of the working store to the company.
UI/UX design was outside my scope; my role was to implement the supplied design and build the functionality behind it.
The outcome
The store was launched, handed over to the company and is operating. The quantity-pricing application was also launched and is publicly listed on the Shopify App Store.
The delivered work combines a bilingual Shopify storefront, material-specific product information, quantity pricing and a custom WhatsApp ordering path.
